'Røst AiR is working on alternative ways of navigating, creating and being in this world, exploring for instance the post- fossil fuel potential. Focus and interests include but are not limited to : The ecological transition, geo-politics, diversity, self-sufficiency, race, gender, art, and intersections between ecology, decolonial thought and action, post-colonial feminism and queer theory.'

Together with Kenzo Kusuda, dancer and choreographer, I will curate the monthly Monday Match in the Bimhuis in Amsterdam. We will invite improvising dancers and musicians from different angles, for an inspiring and ground-braking performance. Kenzo and I are both excited to open up new universes, to be inspired, to be touched, and to be changed by the dynamic chemistry that arises from co-creating in the moment.

From the 25th. of August to the 5th. of september I'm playing with the DDKBB(David Kweksilber Big Band) and the actor Dirk Roofthooft, in the Zeeland Nazomerfestival.
Saul (text, Rob de Graaf; music, Boudewijn Tarenskeen/DKBB; light, Johan Vonk; director, Dick Hauser) is about power, respect, and the wasteland. Dirk Roofthooft and the DKBB are at their most vulnerable and crushing in this performance.

A new sound experience in the beautiful Samaya chapel in Werkhoven.
Before the break there will be a concert based on improvisation and meditation which opens a sound journey for everybody. After the break there will be a sound meditation in co-creation.
Cedric Vermue: piano, Luuk Lenders: flutes, Elaine von Nuding, Tineke Blok, and Joanne van Wijgerden: voices and crystal bowls, Joep Brants: aquaphone, Rozemarie Heggen: double bass.
Suggested donations: young people 5 euros, adults 10 euros. Door opens at 19:00. The concert will be 20:00 till 22:00, we recommend that you bring a blanket, it's still winter.
